ICA Finishes 2^nd in TISSA Track Championships

Ivy Collegiate Academy Mens & Womens Track team traveled to Morrison Academy –Taichung for the TISSA Track Championship Meet. ICA finished in 2^nd place with 9 school records broken, 5 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.

In the fields events, Max Im ’19 took 1^st place in the Javelin and 2^nd place in Shot Put and the Discus. Luke Lee ’18 placed 3^rd in the Shot Put and Jack Hsu ’20 took 4^th place.

Alexie Gan ’22 took place 1^st in women’s Shot Put and 2^nd in Discus, while Cassia Chen ’21 placed 2^nd in Long Jump and Triple Jump. Darren Huang ’18 won the Triple Jump for the Mens Team.

On Friday, Timothy Sun ’19 took a 2^nd place in the 5000 meter Run and on Saturday won both the 1500 meter and 3000 meter Races. Joji Kawamura ’19 placed 3^rd in the 400 meter Hurdles, placed 4^th in High Jump and the 400 meter 4×4 Relay Team composed of Joji Kawamura ‘19, Jiro Okabe ‘20, Wilson Chen ‘22 and Jim Tseng ‘22 won 2^nd place.
