
Ivy Collegiate Academy hosted its annual fall Parents’ Day on Saturday, Oct 14, 2017. Over two hundred parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters met with teachers, attended a seminar on college/university admission, joined the student body for lunch and watched a variety of student performances in the new auditorium. The afternoon program included individual performances:
Piano Duet – “Habanera” by Irene Lu ’19 and Carol Hung ’19
Flute Solo – “It’s a Small World” by Ting Wei Liao ’19, Ella Ku ’19
Piano Solo – “Qualidea Code” by Richard Tong ’18
Vocal Duet – “You raise me up” by Justin Ko ’18 and Jocelyn Yen ’19
Piano Solo – “Rejection” by Jacky Lai ’18
Following the individual student performances, ICA’s musical groups entertained the audiences with:
Percussion B – “Comediaus Gallop” by Kabalevsky
Percussion A – “Techo-pop” by Nathan Daughtery, “The fragment of J” by Hiroaki Kataoka
ICA Strings – “Libertango” by A. Piazzolla, “The Moldau” by B. Smetana, “Radetzky March” by J. Strauss
Acapella Choir – We Will Rock You by Queen
Academy Singers – All the Pretty Little Horses, How Far I’ll go by Lin Manuel Miranda
The program ended with the ICA faculty and students singing the ICA Fight song.
