On Sunday, October 19, 2014 Ivy Collegiate Academy held its Fall Parents Day. Over two hundred and twenty-five parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and 3 dogs attended the days events.

After on orientation in the auditorium, parents visited classrooms; joined the students body for luch, went to college/university admissions program and attended a variety of student performances.

Poetry recitations were delievered by : Mira Tenzin’17, Yvonne Hsing’17, Sandy Lin’16, and Lenie Chen’16.

Solo performances were given by Jerry Yu’17 on the piano, Henry Yuen’16 played Minutet L’ Arl’eslenne Suite #2 on the flute and Shanny Yang’15 sang “Let it go” from Frozen.

Following the solo performances the ICA Strings entertained the audience with renditions of solo Mio, Carmen Suite and Star Wars.

The beginning Marimba club then performed “Under the Sun” followed by the award winning Advanced Marimba club playing Techno Pop-Nathan Daughtrey.

The Academy Singers sang two songs, “I am but a small voice” and “Lean on me”.

The student body led by the Academy Singers concluded the performance with ICA’s new Fight Song.
