ICA Trck at Taipei American School

The ICA track and field team participated in an open meets at Taipei America School on Friday, March 2, 2018. ICA’s 4×400 meter team of Joji Kawamura ‘19, Jim Tseng ’21, Justin Lin ‘18 and Wilson Chen ’21 took 1^st place while Justin Lin ’18 placed 1^st in the 800 meter run followed by Jim Tseng ’21 2^nd, Gabriel Chang ‘19 4^th and John Cheng ‘19 5^th.

In the shot put Max Im ‘19 placed first while Cheryl Yang ’22 placed 2^nd in the girls 800m run and Joji Kawamura ‘19 and Jerald Ho ‘19 tied for 3^rd place. Coaches Weimers and Hendricks were pleased with the team’s early performances and results.

ICA Trck at Morrison Academy Taichung

On Monday March 5, ICA’s track team traveled to Morrison Academy for an open track meet. Again, ICA’s harriers showed improvement, Timothy Sun ‘19 took a first place in the 300 meter run and a second in the mile run while Cheryl Yang ‘22 placed 2^nd in the girls 1 mile run and 3^rd in the 400 meter run.

The girls 4×200 meter relay took a 2^nd while Justin Lin ‘18 (400 meters), Brian Lee ‘18 (Triple Jump), and Max Im ‘19 (Shot Put). Max Im placed 2^nd in the Discus with Luke Lee placing 3^rd and Jack Hsu ‘20 4^th.
In the girls High Jump Chelsea Chen ‘21 took a 2^nd place. Also, a third place finish was achieved by Joji Kawamura ‘19 (High Jump).
