Math Wars

On Saturday, April 15 ICA held its Annual Math Wars sponsored by the Math Department.

Each House competed in Vocabulary, Visual, Construction, Logic, and a challenge events. Overall, Archimedes House took first place, follow by Sparrow House while Campbell House and Bee House placed Third.

10A Art History Presentations

On March 30 and April 11, the 10A Art History students presented their research on their chosen artists. The students made outstanding visual displays as well as booklets on artists such as Jean-Francois Millet, the 1800’s Evolution of Photography. The art of Ukiyo-e, Symbolism, and Romanticism- Eugene Delacroix vs. Francisco Goya.

Faculty and students were invited to visit the displays, allowing the students to answer questions and show their knowledge and impressive work.

April Athletic Results

On April 13 ICA’s Men’s’ JV Volleyball team beat AST 3-0. Playing at home on April 19, the Boys’ Middle School Basketball team scored on impressive victory win Morrison Academy Taichung 41-20.

ICA’s Men’s’ volleyball team traveled to AST for a Match on Tuesday, April25, 2016, ICA won 4-0. Also, on Tuesday ICA Women’s Varsity Soccer team tied Morrison Academy, Taichung 0-0.

ICA Joins the ACAMIS Black Athletic Division

Ivy Collegiate Academy has joined the ACAMIS Black Athletic Division. Next year, ICA’S Varsity Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer teams will be competing against other international schools in China in the ACAMIS Black Division.

ICA Celebrates Earth Day

On Saturday April 22, 2017 ICA’S Student Government, STUGO presented an Earth Day Program. The program began with a presentation by STUGO on how to help conserve the world’s resources. Following the presentation students viewed a video on “Kill Plastic Not Wildlife”.

Students then met as Houses to pick students for the following ecological activities: cleaning the pond, painting flower pots, fashion show using natural materials, film making, poster making, planting trees and picking up the Rainbow House field and roadway trash.

The overall House winner was Archimedes House, followed by Adams House and Campbell House.
