Commencement 2018
On Sunday June 3, 2018 Ivy Collegiate Academy held it’s Celebrating Seniors Concert and Commencement Exercises.
On Sunday morning at 11am ICA’s seniors performed for the last time and traditionally ICA’s juniors also performed. The program featured the Academy’s singers, the acapella choir, senior girls, the junior’s song, a vocal duet by Rich Liang ’18 and Eddy Wu, and Amandes Chocolat for Three Percussions by Jacky Lai’18, Peter Cheng’18 and Jenny Tsai’18.
At 2pm ICA awarded diplomas to sixty-one seniors. The commencement address was given by Dr. Liu, Yun-Jr, Director general, Taichung City Government Economic Development Bureau.
Ryan Chiu’18 delivered the valedictorian address. Department Awards were given to:

Highest Academic Average-Ryan Chen’18
Best Senior Thesis-Venus Hou’18, Brian Lee’18
Best Senior Presentation-Kevin Chen’18
The Faculty Award-Beckham Lin’18
Headmaster’s Award-Peter Cheng’18
Trustees Award-Venus Hou’18
Also, three medallions were awarded:
Meritorious service –Jackie Lai’18
Contribution to the Common Good-Rebecca Lin’18
Outstanding Faculty Award- Mr. Tony Thonesavanh
Following the commencement, seniors planted their class tree and a reception was held for parents and guests.
