Common Good Day

On Saturday November 19, 2016 , ICA held it’s annual Common Good Day.
Each house planned and implemented a community service project. This years house projects were:
Adams House-Picked up Gong Yi Park
Archimedes House-Picked up Lugan Beach
Bee House-Baked cookies(1.)
Campbell House-Dog Walking
Knight House-Picked up Wang Kong Beach
Lerna House- Visited an Orphanage
Lou House-Coin Wars (2.) & Cleaning Pond
Sparrow House- Painted Murals
1. Money donated to be Down Syndrome Society
2. Money to be donated to Nepal Orphanage

Fall Athletics Sports Banquet

On Tuesday, November 15, ICA held it’s Fall Sports Banquet. Athletic certificates and letters were awarded to ICA’s Fall athletic team members. The outstanding players and the Coaches Award for each team were presented to :

Thanksgiving Dinner

On Thursday, November 24 ICA students celebrated Thanksgiving with a traditional turkey dinner. The menu included: Roast turkey with stuffing and gravy, Mashed and sweet potato, Green beans, Blazed carrots, Corn on the cobb, Cranberry sauce, Apple cider and Pumpkin pie.

Speech and Debate Team Places 2nd

ICA’s Speech and Debate Team travelled to Beijing to compete against 8 international schools in Duet Acting, Oral Interpretation and Original Oratory. ICA placed second against some very strong competition. ICA individual winners were:
Duet Acting– 1st Place      Elena Huang’17 and Rich Liang’18
3nd Place    Venus Hou’18 and Jacky Lai’18
Oral Interpretation—2nd Place   Jacky Lai’18
Also, Hyemin Kim’19 took 1st place in two of three public forum speeches.

Masquerade Ball

On Saturday, November 19 ICA’s student government sponsored a “Starry” Masquerade Ball. Masks and formal dress were required for the dance. Everyone appreciated STUGO’s hard work in sponsoring a very successful event.
