ICA Parents Day!
Ivy Collegiate Academy held its annual fall parents day on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Over 200 parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters attended the daylong programs.
At the opening ceremony Headmaster John Cheska welcomed ICA’s gusts and gave a report on ICA’s mission, Establish School Wide Learning Results (ESLR’s) and 21st Century Learning Skills.
The Headmaster also gave a report on ICA’s College Preparatory Curriculum, Athletic and Activity offerings as well as the strategic goals for the coming year.
After the opening ceremony, parents were invited to visit with teachers and have lunch with the student body. After lunch, parents continued to visit with teachers and Grade 11 and 12th Grade parents attended a session on College / University admissions.
At 2pm ICA’s Music department presented a program featuring individual performances, the 9th Grade choir, ICA Strings, Acapella Choir and The Academy Singers. The day’s program ended with ICA students singing the ICA Fight Song.
